Diogo Tudela (b. Porto, 1987) studied Sounds & Image and completed his master's degree in Digital Arts at the School of Arts of the Catholic University of Porto. Between 2012 and 2013 he was a researcher and member of the digital music platform Coletivo Digitópia, at Casa da Música. From 2012 to 2018, he was invited to lecture about Digital Design, Multimedia Art and Plastic Arts at UCP, ISMAI, ESAP and FBAUP. He is currently a professor at the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University. He founded a series of podcasts focused on Porto's independent music, ACOUSMATICS / MATHEMATICS; collaborated at SISMÓGRAFO, with a parallel musical and editorial program; and is a member of the collective producer SOOPA with Jonathan Uliel Saldanha and Catarina Miranda. He held several individual exhibitions, of which the following stand out: “Vocal Tract Black Hole Vent Shaft (Part I)” (2020), at Galeria Gneration, Braga; “Reggaeton or A Haptic Lecture on Pressure to the North”, at SOOPA-CERN, Porto, curated by Marta Espiridião and Andreia Santana; “Automata Suboptimal” (2018), curated by Marianne Baillot, at Maus Hábitos, in Porto; “Solar Paramétrica” (2017), supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, at CAAA, Guimarães; “Equinócio Perene” (2017), curated by Carmo Azeredo, at MUPI Gallery. He participated in several group exhibitions, among which: “Anuário 2018 - A retrospective view of art in Porto” (2019), project by João Ribas and Guilherme Blanc at the Municipal Gallery of Porto; “Yesterday died today, today dies tomorrow” (2018), curated by Carla Filipe and Ulrich Loock, at the Municipal Gallery of Porto; “Le Monde ou Rien” (2016), curated by Juan Luis Toboso, at FBAUP; among others. In 2015 he was a finalist for the Novo Banco Revelation award, organized by the Serralves Museum and in 2019 he was a finalist for the SONAE Media Art award, presented at the National Museum of Contemporary Art - Museu do Chiado.
