Francisco Queirós

Francisco Queirós was born in Lisbon in 1972. He lives and works in Sintra. Portugal. He studied painting at the Lisbon Faculty of Fine Arts.

Queirós has exhibited in one-man and group shows regularly, presenting video, sculpture, installation, and drawings since the late nineties.

Of special note among his solo shows are: Yupi, Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves, Porto (2003); Yeah, Centre d´Art Santa Monica, Barcelona (2003); O dia em que troquei fazer tudo por não fazer nada, Lisboa 20 Arte Contemporânea, Lisboa (2007); Já viram alguém levar um tiro e não deitar sangue, Lisboa 20 Arte Contemporânea, Lisboa (2009); Meathaus, Museu Bordalo Pinheiro, Lisboa (2009); Nada, Galeria Presença (2010); My body is a rock´n´roll temple, EmptyCube - Appleton Square, Lisbon (2011) and Um dia todos os adultos morrerão, Oldscool, Lisbon (2012), Morri Ontem, Galeria Presença (2013).

His work is represented in public and private collections such as: MACS - Fundação de Serralves, Oporto; MNAC - Museu do Chiado, Lisbon; Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Lisbon; CGAC - Centro Galego de Arte Contemporânea, Santiago de Compostela, Spain; Fundação Ilídio Pinho, Oporto; Col.
